County Services Altered by COVID-19 Precautions

Sheriff’s Department and Jail

  • Jail Visitation is open Saturdays 8-10 a.m., 1 visitor per inmate. 
  • Public Fingerprinting is open to Dickinson County Residents ONLY.
  • Vehicle Inspections are now being conducted.

 Dickinson County District Court, Court Services, Community Corrections

  • All Court offices are OPEN.

Treasurer’s Department

  • Curbside service is available to any customer concerned about coming into the courthouse to pay taxes or renew vehicle registrations.  Call (785) 263-3231 when you arrive and someone will come out to your car.
  • Driver’s License offices are open Tuesday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m..  Dickinson County residents ONLY.  By appointment. 
  • Vehicle registrations/renewals and taxes are encouraged to renew by mail (include your phone # & copy of insurance for vehicle), dropping off in the drop box at the main entrance or online at https://ikan.ks.gov

Transfer Station

  • Services are back to normal.
  • For the transfer station, remain in your vehicle and the scale attendant will come to you.
